Cloud Chasers Journey of Hope App Reviews

Wheres the hope?

More like hopeless! Random events exploring are too risky. There is no difficulty setting for a casual gamer. No saving progress. Everything changes from game to game, so strategizing is limited to... Dont run low on water and Do I want to risk going in that cave? Upgrades to glider are nice, but due to randomness of shops and exploring you have to get lucky to find them. Good luck playing for more than 15 mins before you die. Then you have to start over again from beginning.

not sure

looked real promising but maybe its just not the type of gaming I was looking for . lost interest real quick after a few bug crashes and theres no action when they say narrative thats what it means no action . if you love reading RPG stuff then this is for you . but I literally had my hands in the air saying "thats it?" read:truck slides to stop smoke fills air dude wipes his eyes soldier asks question hits girl with but of rifle , girl loses 3 points from injury . go back to wandering dessert . I guess its not for my taste

Great concept but...

The game loses focus on what made it interesting. You are no so much about in the journey but rather spend most of the game playing a glider racer/simulator. If a racer is what is desired there are other ones out there. Hope the authors come out with a way to lessen the time spent in the glider and focus the game on what is really good which is the concept of the journey and the story behind it.

Great game with epic story

This is a gem of a game with fun gameplay and an awesome, epic story and beautiful characters. Difficulty levels were high enough that it got me going for days. I appreciated the balance in gameplay between flying glider and exploring the desert. Story is more compelling and thoughtful than approximately 95% of other "story-driven" games out there. Highly recommended.

Incredible

I learned of the game while playing "First Strike" and decided to check it out. Its fun, a little challenging and absolutely amazing. This is probably the best game Ive played all year.

Just one problem...

When I get to the ending, the game crashes and Im brought to my home screen. Please fix this. Anyway... The gameplay is simple enough: get to the next city, make smart decisions during semi-random encounters, collect water, and trade items. The story, which I am still uncovering, is interesting enough: its an immigration tale with a dystopian twist. For better or worse, Im certainly more interested in the setting and backstory than the characters. Apparently, people started to live in the sky, so they use machines to collect water. This breaks the rain cycle, causing widespread drought and forces our farming family to trek to...The Spire, which is this crystal thing. Not that thats bad. I just see the characters as more a way to explore the setting. I cant wait for there to be a wiki to this thing!
